Poppies in the Mist: 206E

An early start was required to make this photograph, which was taken just a week after mid-summers day, so I was thankful that the location, Bulls Mill, was only about a mile from home. The pre-sunrise sky was perfectly balanced against the contours of the Hertfordshire landscape. The poppies were abundant on a wide margin of set aside land on the edge of the field. The mist was an added bonus. This image appears both on the front cover and as the month of June in my 2022 calendar which is now available to purchase. Jun 21.
