Milky Way Over St Michaels Mount:101H - Heaven: British Isles
In this light polluted island there are still some spots when the magnificence of the night sky can be appreciated. Here the spring milky way can be seen in the early hours of the morning with the centre of our galaxy near the constellation of Sagittarius just above the horizon. The triangle of prominent stars is actually Mars with Saturn to its left and Antares in constellation of Scorpius below. The light from these three heavenly bodies is reflected in water captured in the ripples on the beach as the tide recedes. The light behind the mount is from a ship anchored in Mount's Bay. May 16
