Evening Poppies: 277E

During the summer of 2022 the Woodhall Estate set aside a field at Bulls Mill to grow poppies to support pollinating insects. The sea of red was a spectacle to behold. This photograph was taken at sunset in late June as the last light of the day illuminated the delicate flowers which formed a blanket of red running down to the oak tree in the corner of the field.
