Grey Dawn at the Cobb:186E

The Cobb, or harbour wall, at Lyme Regis is very popular with photographers, particularly at sunsrise during the winter months when the sun rises over the sea. What started out as a promising January morning soon deteriorated as the clouds gathered. I therefore resorted to a long exposure to capture the motion of the water as it lapped over the far end of the Cobb. The monochrome conversion seemed appropriate recognising the lack of colour in the sky. Jan 20
